This week is Halloween Week at my job, which means all the kids and teachers and teaching assistants come wearing costumes, and all we do is play games and eat candy. It’s pretty great. Anyway, last year the guy I replaced went as a mummy and scared the living pantsflavor out of everyone, and even made one of the cute little girl students cry, so this year I decided to go as something unscary–A rocker with an afro and sunglasses. It looks like this:

Well, it’s been met with a wide variety of reactions. Most of the little kids either love it or are confused by it. One or two girls were actually terrified of it, and all of the adults barely think it’s a costume. I keep getting compliments on how great I look. The other day I wore the afro all the way back to my apartment just as an experiment. To my shock and dismay, the people on the street stared at me LESS than usual.

Anyway, I love Halloween, but there isn’t much to do here for it. I figure I’ll drink scotch and make Yoko watch some scary movies or something. I hope you people in America have fun though.
